Gene Sarazen was an American professional golfer, one of the world's top players in the 1920s and 1930s. He is one of five golfers to win all the current major championships in his career, the Career Grand Slam: U.S. Open in 1922, 1932, PGA Championship in 1922, 1923, 1933, British Open in 1932, and The Masters in 1935 Sourced from The Doug Sanders Museum Collection is this Gene Sarazen Signed Masters Logo Slazenger Golf Ball JSA ALOA, originally obtained through Sanders' connections and celebrity status as a staple in golf for over two decades. The 20-time PGA Tour winner Doug Sanders was picked as a member of the 1967 Ryder Cup Team and obtained the nickname "The Peacock of the Fairways" with his colorful wardrobe. With friends in high places, a typical pro-am tournament field Sanders took part in might have consisted of names such as George H.W. Bush, Neil Armstrong and Willie Nelson. A large number of items that Doug collected over his playing career and thereafter are on display at The Doug Sanders Museum. Sharing in the joy of collecting, the generated funds from this sale will help benefit the Doug Sanders Museum. A signed letter of provenance from the museum will accompany this item.

Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 9:00pm ET Sunday, July 18th. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval starting at 9pm ET. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
4. All lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 9pm ET
