Gene Sarazen Signed May 1934 Golf Illustrated Magazine
Featuring a stunning time-period cover design, this Gene Sarazen Signed May 1934 Golf Illustrated Magazine is a signed publication that is missing from most collections. The Squire is featured mid swing, with the words "Going On Through" written in red to his left and right. Volume 41 No. 2 of Golf Illustrated was published a year prior to Sarazen's 'Shot Heard Around the World' on 15 of the final round at the 1935 Masters, propelling him to the playoff with Craig Wood and eventual victory. Sarazen signed this magazine in bold black sharpie. The cover is loose and contains property stamps from the original owner. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authentication comes with this lot.
