Gene Sarazen Twice Signed 1979 The Memorial Tournament Ltd Ed 28/260 Book - Sarazen Collection
'Property of Gene Sarazen' The Squire handwrote in black sharpie on his own copy, twice signed, of the 1979 Memorial Tournament limited edition hardcover publication. Each year the Memorial Tournament honors an important figure in golf. Selecting honorees was Nicklaus' idea as a contribution to perpetuating achievements of the games' greatest individuals. Gene Sarazen was the honoree in 1979, having earned the career grand slam title in winning his 7 Major championships. Offered here is the limited edition #28/260 book released at the 1979 Memorial Tournament "Life & Times of Gene Sarazen" - a special one coming from his own library. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. A signed letter of provenance from Mary Ann Sarazen will come with this lot.
