Gene Sarazen's Personal 1998 Dave Marr Memorial Award Presented By Shells Wonderful World Of Golf

According to Texas Golf Hall of Fame's website: "Close friend Bryan Naugle created the Dave Marr Memorial Award the year after his death. It is awarded annually in conjunction with the Insperity Invitational Shell. Past winners of the award include Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson, Jack Nicklaus, Judy Rankin, Gary Player, Former President George H. W. Bush and Arnold Palmer." Here is Gene Sarazen's personal trophy he was awarded, decades after hosting the Shells Wonderful World of Golf with Jimmy Demaret. This trophy is a sizeable 11 1/2 x 7 x 7" that is as much a work of art by sculptor depicting Dave Marr seated on a step on tiered plinth with 'Gene Sarazen' and 'Presented by Shell's Wonderful World of Golf.' A signed letter of provenance from Mary Ann Sarazen will come with this lot.
