Gene Sarazen's Personal Cashmere Dobbs Hat with 'G.S.' Stamped in Gold on Band

Believed to be worn during Gene Sarazen's time as the Shells Wonderful World of Golf announcing with friend and fellow Masters winner Jimmy Demaret, is this personal cashmere Dobbs branded hat with the personalization initials 'G.S.' stamped by the manufacturer in gold on the inside black leather band. From the sharp dressing squire's closet, and more recently The Gene Sarazen Collection by way of his daughter Mary Ann Sarazen is this dress hat. Look good, play good. Gene Sarazen was the modern day Grand Slam champion club founder and remains one of only five golfers to complete the feat nearly a century later. There are welcomed signs of usage inside this hat, please examine accompanying lot photos for a detailed report on this. A signed letter of provenance from Mary Ann Sarazen will come with this lot.
