Hal Sutton's 1980 US Open at Baltusrol Ticket Set with Envelope
From The Hal Sutton Collection comes this colorful 1980 US Open ticket set array in its original envelope of issuance. Each daily grounds and clubhouse ticket has been preserved in good to very good condition, as depicted in the accompanying lot photos. Jack Nicklaus broke his own US Open record at the 1980 tournament held at Baltusrol Golf Club, shooting a 272 to improve from his 275 at the same course in 1967. This was Nicklaus' 4th Open title, joining Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, and Willie Anderson as the only ones to do so. Please note that the ticket for the 1st tournament day is missing. A signed letter of provenance from Hal Sutton comes with this lot.
