Henry Cotton Signed Time-Period Open Claret Jug Photo

Englishman Henry Cotton won three Open Championships, the years of 1934, 1937 and 1948. Cotton played in his first Open Championship in 1925, while an assistant club professional at Rye Golf Club in Rye, East Sussex. This picture that measures 6 1/2" by 8 1/4" is a vintage black and white picture of Henry Cotton posing with the Claret Jug after one of his three Open Championship victories. This picture is signed and inscribed in steel-tip fountain pen, an instrument common of that time period and is faded from age. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their full letter of authenticity (#Y24246) will come with this lot.
