Hogan, Seve, Nicklaus, Player, Norman, Olazabal & Faldo Signed 1991 Famous 60¢ Golfer Stamps
"This cover circled the globe more than once in an effort to get the seven living golfers to sign it. Gary Player, Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus and Nick Faldo each have one. Not surprisingly, Ben Hogan was the most difficult - it took two tries for it." Historian at Merion Golf Club John Capers published in reference to the gem in this lot. This is one of only a handful of extraordinary first day covers known in existence containing the flowing penmanship of each of the then surviving seven golfers pictured on the 'Famous Golfers' issued November 21, 1991 St. Vincent postal stamps, here is your opportunity to put your name on that short ownership list. Ben Hogan, Seve Ballesteros, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Greg Norman, Jose Maria Olazabal, and Nick Faldo combine for 55 major championships and with the additional Bobby Jones stamp the group's career spans wins starting in 1923 all the way until Jose Maria Olazabal's 2005 victory. They have won on six continents and are greatly responsible for growing the game internationally. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. 8 1/2" x 6 1/4".

Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 10:00pm ET Sunday, November 21st. When placing INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm ET
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm ET
