Horton Smith's 1929 Florida Open Championship Winner's 14k Gold 'Van Vleck-Ames' Medal
The 1929 Florida Open was the third of eight wins in Horton Smith's freshman season on the PGA Tour. A record few can compete with in the long history of the PGA Tour. The March 16th, 1929 win in the Florida Open came by the slim margin of one stroke over Frank Walsh, with the victor at 284 aggregate. Smith for his efforts received the well designed 14 Kt Gold Dieges & Clust 1" x 1 1/4" medal we offer here.
