Horton Smith's 1937 Ryder Cup Match PGA 9k Gold Medal

The 10 year anniversary of the inaugural Ryder Cup was contested across the pond at the Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club, watching Non-playing captain Walter Hagen guide the vising United States team to a dominant 8 to 4 victory over foes Great Britain. PGA of America awarded this 9k gold medal to the previous year and two-time Masters Tournament champion Horton Smith. Instrumental in the Ryder Cup matches, the front of this 9k medal contains the Professional Golfers Association flower and time-period emblem encircled by the text. Verso contains and engraved 'Ryder Cup 1937 Horton Smith' along with the proper precious metal stamps below. Great attention to detail has been given, with few expenses spared.

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
