1960 Masters Contestant Pin - Player 26 - Jack Fleck

With only 83 contestants appearing in the 1960 Masters. This red and white 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" plastic badge is highly elusive to Masters collectors. With badge #1 going to the past years champion each badge is then issued according to when the player shows up for the Masters and registers for the tournament. In 1960, Fleck received #26 as would also be listed on the Masters pairing sheet from that year. The '57 Masters would see the first year of a 36-hole cut at the event(Ben Hogan would miss his only career cut that year), but Fleck would make the cut and place in a tie for 34th place with Jerry Barber. With original pin still in place, this contestants pin is simple in design but packs a big punch in the way of Masters collectables. An added plus is the fact that this high quality example comes from a known player, even better a major winner (1955 U.S. Open), and that it was an Arnold Palmer year in what was one of the smallest fields in modern Masters history.
