Jack Nicklaus 1961 AP Wire Photo from First Match as a Professional
Presented here is a crystal clear wire photo of a young Jack Nicklaus staring down a putt. When you look closer and read the caption you will understand the significance of this AP Wire Photo, as it was from Jack Nicklaus' first match as a professional at the Miami Country Club. The 1959 and 1961 US Amateur winner was ready for the challenge. Upon further inspection you will notice Arnold Palmer and Gary Player were also mentioned in the caption, rounding out what would eventually be deemed 'The Big Three.' It is in very good condition, with industry stamping and writing on the backside from December 30, 1961. 8" x 10."
