The historic 1963 Masters saw 23-year-old Jack Nicklaus win his first green jacket, defeating Tony Lema by one stroke for a 268 total of 2-under par. The Ohio native sunk a clutch 3 foot putt on the final hole to secure the victory and receive the green jacket at the hands of rival Arnold Palmer. Nicklaus would become a regular to wear the special jacket, slipping it over his broad shoulders five more times.
