Jack Nicklaus Signed 1963 PGA Championship at DAC Country Club Program

Jack Nicklaus at the 1963 PGA Championship not only defeated the field of top professionals and the challenging Dallas Athletic Club's Blue Course, he also overcame temperatures over 100 degrees on Championship Sunday. It was so hot when Nicklaus received the Wanamaker champions trophy he had to use a towel to protect his hands from the scalding metal. The triumph was his first of five PGA Championship wins in a career that would total 18 Major wins. Offered here is a program from the tournament signed by the Golden Bear in black marker. The cover of the program shows small stains and blemishes, though they hardly detract from the presentation of the piece.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, August 6th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
