Jack Nicklaus Signed Old Course St. Andrews Links Embroidered White Flag with Letter
Jack Nicklaus won this third and final Open championship at the 1978 contest held at St. Andrews, the same host club that he became Champion Golfer of the Year at 8 years prior. The win by only two strokes marked the fifteenth of his eighteen major championships. The victory also completed his third career grand slam. Defending champion Tom Watson was the 54 hole leader but couldn't hold on for the win, faltering back and finishing 6 strokes behind. This offering is for an Old Course St Andrews embroidered flag, signed by the golden bear in bold black maker with ideal positioning. A letter will accompany this item explaining its provenance.
