Jack Nicklaus Signed Personal Used Pearl Golf Shoes with Jack Nicklaus Tungsten Spikes
Dating to the late 1970's, this offering has it's genuine signature applied to the shoe's vamp cover. The shoes are size 9 1/2, and each of the tungsten metal spikes bear Nicklaus' facsimile signature. Jack Nicklaus has mentioned numerous times he saved his best golf through extensive mental and physical preparation for when it mattered the most, the major tournaments. The Ohio native's 18 major championships looks to be a safe number for a very long time, with Woods still needing three more to match it. Nicklaus himself considers his US Amateur victories in 1959 and 1961 his first and second major, carrying the total to 20. Regardless Nicklaus is widely considered the best player to swing the golf club, with his major championships backing that argument up nicely. Please note that there is some corrosion to the 'Jack Nicklaus Tungsten' spikes near the toe of the shoe, while those at the heel are in significantly better condition. Wear is evident, but no significant damage to report. 'L-90' is penned inside the left shoe, with the right adorned by the black ballpoint pen signature. This pair of Jack Nicklaus personal used golf shoes mirrors a previous example sold in Heritage for $2,031.50.
