Jack Nicklaus on Cover of 1967 The Illustrated London News Magazine - July
From London comes this 1967 The Illustrated London News Magazine with Nicklaus as the cover subject clad in a white 'Ben Hogan style' hat. Nicklaus long stressed the importance of the Open Championship, not merely a box for him to check on his way to completing The Grand Slam. Nicklaus became Champion Golfer of the Year on three occasions, two of those at the birthplace of golf in St Andrews.
