Jim Barnes Signed Handwritten Letter from December 10, 1952 - 1921 US Open Content
Here is a letter that Jim Barnes hand-wrote to a fan letting him know that he won the 1921 "American Open Championship," where he was given the trophy by President Harding and not the 1929 tournament. The letter is 10 1/2" by 7 1/4" and stapled to an 8 1/2" by 11" sheet of album paper. Jim Barnes won 21 times on the PGA Tour, including the first two PGA Championships in 1916 & 1919, the US Open in 1921, and the Open Championship in 1925. PSA/DNA has reviewed the signature and their full letter of authenticity #U07885 comes along with this lot.
