Karsten Redwood City 1A Putter #12

Here we have a Karsten Redwood 1A putter. This putter was the predecessor of the modern day putter, featuring a weighted heel and toe as opposed to the blade or bullseye putters seen up until the 1960's. Weighting the heel and toe as opposed to the center made it so essentially the sweetspot was wider, thus improving putting greatly. Karsten Solheim produced his first putters in his garage in Redwood City, CA before founding Ping. This Redwood City 1A putter comes in great condition and has sole stamps that read "Ping by Karsten Mod. 1 A 12, Redwood City, Calif. Pat. Pend." This is a great opportunity to own a pivotal part in modern golf history.
