Lanny Wadkins' 1977 PGA Championship Winning Putter with PGA Champion Display
From the PGA of America archives comes this putter from Pebble Beach and the 1977 PGA Championship winner Lanny Wadkins. With exact photo matching, specifically matching wear marks on the heel of the putter seen in the final photo, this club that made history in the only PGA Championship at Pebble Beach is now available to the public. It was Wadkins' right hand club for 76 holes, as Lanny Wadkins and Gene Littler tied at the 72nd hole, with Jack Nicklaus missing the playoff by just a stroke. Wadkins defeated Littler on the 4th playoff hole. Altered with lead tape on the reverse, Lanny Wadkins successfully customized this club to his liking. Model 'Spalding HBA' comes on the sole of the putter. measures 34". Framed display measures 13 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 34 1/4. A letter of from PGA Historian Emeritus Bob Denney will accompany this lot.

Place your bids now as this auction will end at 9:00pm ET Sunday, February 14th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
**If extended bidding goes pass midnight ET, The Golf Auction reserves the right to close the auction at any time. We recommend bidders place their maximum bids prior to that time. Thank you
