Lee Elder Signed 'Lee Elder' Signature Faultess Model Golf Ball

The trailblazing Lee Elder was invited to join Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as the 10th Masters Tournament Honorary Starter, one of Augusta National's great traditions during the first week of April dating back to 1963. Elder was of course the first African-American to play in the Masters Tournament in 1975, gaining the invitation after claiming victory on the PGA Tour at the 1974 Monsanto Open. Dallas, Texas' own, Elder, had four PGA Tour wins and a member of the victorious 1979 Ryder Cup United States Team. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
