Deane Beman's Ryder Cup 14K Necklace Pendant
Deane Beman's 14k golf Ryder Cup necklace pendant is offered here for bidders. The necklace comes in excellent and undated condition, with the meaningful precious metal stamping on the verso. 'The Ryder Cup' is slightly raised in between laurels around the bottom of the sleek design. Detail is apparent through the golfer (Abe Mitchell) depiction on the top of the trophy. The international Ryder Cup matches pits the best golfers in the US against the best in Europe every two years. For reference purposes, the first time this was offered in our 2018 April Auction it achieved a warranted final price of $504.08. A signed letter of provenance from Dean Beman comes with this lot.
Deane Beman was a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame's Class of 2000, selected for his Lifetime Achievement in golf. It would be difficult to find someone who better fit that criteria then Beman. As a player, he won four PGA TOUR titles, a pair of United States Amateurs, The Amateur Championship and competed on four U.S. Walker Cup teams. Following those successes on the course, Beman served the game at it's highest level as PGA TOUR commissioner for twenty years from 1974-94. During this time the tour's assets grew ten fold. A true visionary of the sport, Beman ushered in the creation of the Senior PGA TOUR (now referred to as the Champions Tour). He also created the Ben Hogan Tour (now called the Web.com Tour). His dream of Stadium Golf would become a reality in the TPC Stadium Course at Sawgrass followed by widely successful similar products around the United States. A crowning achievement to his contributions to the game came in May of 1998, when another of Beman's ideas became reality when the World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame opened in St.Augustine, Florida.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids NOW. The auction will close beginning at 10:00pm EDT Sunday, April 9th. When placing your INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. Each lot has its own 30 minute countdown clock during extended bidding. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. Place your initial bids BEFORE 10pm ET in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
