1945 Esquire, Inc. Bobby Jones Putting in 1929 US Open by Fawcett

The 1929 United States Open, contested at Winged Foot Golf Club, saw Bobby Jones open with a first round 69, his 31 on the back nine outstanding in all regards. At the end of four rounds of play Jones remained tied with Al Espinosa. The 36-hole playoff the next day saw Jones post a staggering 23 stroke exclamation point win in claiming his third US Open Championship. Here is a Robert Fawcett commissioned piece of Jones' Tying putt at Winged Foot for the esteemed Esquire publication. It boast great color and depiction of the scene, with the clean compact fold traveling down the middle and not detracting from presentation. 18" x 13"
