1964 Open Championship At St. Andrews Competitor Badge #183
An extra selective red and black means of admission that remains in nearly flawless condition with its original string intact, presented here is a 1964 Open Championship at St. Andrews 'Competitor' badge circle ticket #183. Tony Lema won his only Major championship in a five stroke victory over Jack Nicklaus and the rest of the field. Lema died tragically following the 1966 PGA Championship in Akron, Ohio when he and his wife were on a charter airplane heading to an exhibition tournament south of Chicago, the Little Buick Open in Crete, Illinois. Tragically, Lema would crash onto a golf course, landing in a water hazard on the 7th hole of the Lansing Country Club, less than a mile from their destination.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids NOW, don’t wait until the last minute. The auction will close beginning at 10:00pm ET Sunday, June 18th. You must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your initial bid. During extended bidding, each lot will have its own 30-minute countdown clock. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot for a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. Place your initial bids BEFORE 10pm ET in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you may bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. Lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 10pm ET
Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and each lot will begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid placed during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you
