Bobby Jones 1958 Eisenhower Trophy & Australian Team Type I Photo PSA #84915046
Encapsulated and deemed a prized 'Type I' photo is this United States Caption Bobby Jones shot at the 1958 World Amateur Golf Team Championship with the Eisenhower Trophy and victorious Australian Team. Perhaps even more importantly, Bobby Jones would by honored by the city of St Andrews and presented the 'Freedom of St Andrews' during his final trip to St Andrews. Jones joined an elite group of only three other individuals to receive the prestigious honor since Benjamin Franklin received it in 1759. Career amateur Bobby Jones was made mobile at the tournament by a special golf buggy, taking in the 1958 United States win hole by hole. It would also represent Bobby Jones' final visit to St Andrews, with his health failing him.
Bobby Jones' US squad finished second to Australia in a playoff, hence why Jones has the much smaller hardware. This crystal clear 'Type I' photo was captured at just the right time.

During extended bidding, each lot will have its own 30-minute countdown clock. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot for a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
