Leo Diegel and Jimmy Thomson Signed 1942 Inverness GC Scorecard

Pencil autographs of Diegel and Thomson are on a 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" scorecard. Diegel, whose autograph is seldom seen, was a 1920's star who was overshadowed by the career of Bobby Jones. He captured back-to-back PGA Championships in 1928 and 1929. A key member of the first four United States Ryder Cup teams in 1927,29,31 and 33 (Joining Hagen and Sarazen as the only U.S. members of the first four teams). A reproduced 8" x 10" black and white photo of Diegel also accompanies this lot. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the Diegel and Thomson autographs in this lot,and their letter of authenticity will come with this offering.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on November 22nd with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
