Bobby Locke Vintage Signed Cut
This lot offers a combo of items from four time British Open Champion and Hall Of Famer Bobby Locke. First is a vintage signature on a 6" x 3 1/2" size cut (which carries an unidentified cricket players autograph on reverse) and second item in this grouping is a 7" x 9" original black and white Acme wire photo of Locke flashing his famous putting stroke in winning the 1949 Goodall Palm Beach Round Robbin. Of historical note, NBC televised a segment of the event making it the first-ever network telecast of a golf tournament. Excellent condition wire photo contains vintage caption which accompanied the May 15, 1949 photographic work. James Spence Authentication (JSA) provides authenticity for the Locke signature in this lot.
