Steve Jones Signed 1996 US Open 16th Hole at Oakland Hills Ltd Ed Print 396/850

Pictured here is a framed print of painting by Linda Hartough. The 16th hole at Oakland Hills Country Club which is protected by challenging bunkers. Hartough was commissioned by the United States Golf Association to create this magnificent painting of one of America's greatest golf courses for the 1996 U.S. Open which was contested at the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan course. This particular painting is a limited edition #396 of 850 . Print Size - 28" x 17 1/2" with deluxe framing the overall size is 42 1/2" x 33". This work comes from the personal collection of PGA Tour player Mark Brooks and carries pencil signature of 1996 U.S. Open champion Steve Jones and the artist Linda Hartough. James Spence Authentication (JSA)has reviewed both these signatures, and their letter of authenticity will come with this lot.

Linda Hartough has become recognized as one of golf's leading artists. Her paintings are so realistic that some of her paintings look like photos. Linda Hartough is the only artist ever commissioned by the United States Golf Association and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews to do the annual, official paintings and prints for the U.S. Open and British Open Championships. In 1984, Augusta National Golf Club commissioned her to paint the famed 13th hole starting her golf landscape painting career. She has received international acclaim including Golf Digest's "Lifetime Achievement Award." Linda is also a Founding Trustee of the Academy of Golf Art.
