1960 PGA Championship Contestant Wives Badge - Mrs. Hans Merrell
There were only 13 sub-par rounds in the entire 1960 Championship contested at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. With those scores a different player turned up as the leader at the end of each round. Arnold Palmer captured the first round lead with a 67. The most important round however, the final Sunday round, belonged to Jay Hebert who fired a final round 70, for a one-stroke win over Jim Ferrier. Although there is no date present on the badge, it does date to 1960 since that was Hans Merrill's only PGA appearance.
