Jack Nicklaus Signed 1967 National Pro-Amateur Championship Program
1967 marked the first year the newly-built Spyglass Hill
Golf Course would become part of the tournament. Billy Casper started the final day with a one shot lead over Jack and Arnie, but Jack had a day in store for everyone. Similar to his great finish more than 10 years later at the 1978 Inverrary Classic, Jack turned up the birdie burners. The Golden Bear birdied five of the last seven holes and shot a 31 on the back nine on his way to a 68 and beat Billy Casper and Arnold Palmer for the championship. Nicklaus needed only 13 putts on the final nine as he claimed his first Crosby victory with a 284 total. This was Bing's 26th National Pro-Am Championship hosting. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this item, and their letter of authenticity will come with this lot
