1905 Golf Links, Hampton Terrace, Augusta, Ga. Post Card - Detroit Publishing Co.
Here we have a postcard from 1905 depicting a game of golf on the golf links at the Hampton Terrace hotel in Augusta. This hotel opened in 1903 and was reportedly one of the best hotels outside of New York City. The hotel burned to the ground in 1916, thankfully empty due to renovations. This postcard, in great condition, gives a glimpse into what golf looked like at the turn of the century in Augusta.
