Payne Stewart Signed Golf World Magazine Cover
Stewart won eleven PGA Tour events, including three major championships in his career, the last of which occurred only months before he died in an airplane accident at the age of 42. Stewart was always popular with fans and photographers alike for his zany wardrobe choices that were often reminiscent of the olden days of the sport. He graces the cover of Golf World magazine from March 20, 1987 after finally claiming a victory at his home course, Bay Hill, at the Hertz Bay Hill Classic. Payne signed this magazine cover nicely in black marker. This matted piece, measuring 18" x 14", is in great condition and will display well.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
