1966 US Open Ticket, Program, Guest Badge, Palmer & Casper Photo, Casper Signed Photo
The 1966 US Open was held at the Lake Course of the Olympic Club in San Francisco, California. Billy Casper, the 1959 champion, staged one of the greatest comebacks in history, erasing a seven-stroke deficit on the final nine holes to tie Arnold Palmer, then prevailed in an 18-hole playoff to win the second of his three major titles. Offered in this lot is an assortment of items from that tournament in good condition. Included is the Wednesday ticket #5936, guest badge #710, two wire photos -one of Palmer in the third round and the other of Casper with the trophy, and the official program.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
