1939 Open Golf Championship St. Andrews Booklet

Dick Burton defeated Johnny Bulla, the only American to make the cut, by two strokes to claim the 1939 Open Championship title, held at St. Andrews. This was the last Open Championship to be played for 7 years, due to World War II. This 7 1/2" x 10" original booklet presents in great condition, with minor spots to the front cover, minor discoloration and handwriting on the first page, some discoloration from rust to the staples at the spine throughout, and light wear to the back cover. This is an excellent piece for any British Open collection.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, October 1st, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
