1951 Ryder Cup Matches and North & South Open Marshal Badge - Charles Farlow

Pinehurst Country Club was home to the North and South Open from 1902-1951, and in 1951 the club also hosted the Ryder Cup Matches. The US team won the matches 9 1/2 to 2 1/2. The North and South Open was held the following week, though not many golfers stayed to play given the refusal to raise the purse for the tournament. This badge belong to the marshal Charles Farlow and comes in excellent condition with the pin back attached. The badge is 2 1/2" in diameter and will display well.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, October 1st, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
