Robert de Vicenzo 1986 Memorial Tournament Ltd Ed Porcelain Honoree Plate
This lot features a commemorative plate from the 1986 Memorial Tournament. Each year the Memorial Tournament honors an important figure in golf. Selecting honorees was Nicklaus' idea as a contribution to perpetuating achievements of the games' greatest individuals. Roberto de Vincenzo was the 1986 honoree, the Argentine having won the 1967 Open Championship, and a scorecard error away from winning the 1968 Masters Tournament. The blue and white plate comes in excellent condition and is 8 1/2" in diameter, made in Denmark by B&G Copenhagen Porcelain.
