Charles 'Chick' Evans 1985 Memorial Tournament Ltd Ed Porcelain Honoree Plate
This lot features a commemorative plate from the 1985 Memorial Tournament. Each year the Memorial Tournament honors an important figure in golf. Selecting honorees was Nicklaus' idea as a contribution to perpetuating achievements of the games' greatest individuals. Chick Evans was honored in 1985, who in 1916 was the first person to win both the US Open and US Amateur in the same year. Evans is also well known for his foundation that benefits caddies. The blue and white plate comes in excellent condition and is 8 1/2" in diameter, made in Denmark by B&G Copenhagen Porcelain.
