1980 TPC Sawgrass Money Clip and Opening Day Dedication Medal
Here we have a medal and money clip from TPC Sawgrass. The medal was issued to commemorate the opening of TPC at Sawgrass on October 24, 1980. That day bagpipers led a host of dignitaries into the stadium course, and the realization of Deane Beman's dream for the course became a reality. Today it is the site of the yearly Players Championship, thought to be golf's fifth Major by many. The money clip is also dated 1980 and measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2", while the dedication medal has a diameter of 1 1/2".
