Geo. F. Spalding Kro-Flite Waterfall Niblick - Bronze Filled Grooves
The R & A outlawed the Waterfall clubs in the early 1900's. The single waterfall scoring was a refined version of William Reach's double waterfall idea. Having the ribs a more pronounced arc made the controlling of a short shot easier. This example has the grooves filled in bronze. After notorious golfer's such as Francis Ouimet and Howard Whitney (President of the USGA) began stating their displeasure over the "Jerko" club, it was eventually disbarred from play in the following months. This niblick measures 37 1/2" to the heel and the grip is slightly loose at the bottom.
