Tommy Armour Being Congratulated by Harry Cooper June 23, 1927 Wire Photo

Here we have a 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" wire photo showing Tommy Armour being congratulated by Harry "Lighthorse" Cooper after winning the 1927 US Open. It took an 18 hole playoff for Armour to win his first Major. Cooper would never actualize a win at the US Open, coming in second place again in 1936. The back of the picture has editorial stamps and marks associated with wire photographs.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, November 19th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
