Tony Lema & Mike Dietz Signed 1958 Western Open Official Scorecard

A signed official scorecard from the 1958 Western Open by Contestant Mike Dietz and Tony Lema is available to bidders in this lot. Both golfers signed Dietz's official scorecard in pencil following the opening round at Red Run Golf Club near Detroit. The 1958 Western Open was a one stroke victory by Doug Sanders over Dow Finsterwald. What makes this scorecard attractive in auction is the autograph from Tony Lema. Lema won the 1964 British Open at St. Andrews and was a promising golfer on Tour until his untimely death in 1966 at age 32. In his shortened golf career, Tony Lema won 12 PGA Tour events and 22 times professionally. Autographed items from Tony Lema typically yield major interest from bidders. This 1958 Western Open scorecard comes in good condition.

James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.

*All winning bidders who pay their balance in full by December 18th will have their items shipped by December 19th for all domestic and international shipments*

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, December 17th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
