Ben Hogan Signed Newspaper Article 'Hogan Stands Alone' - Framed
An excellent condition 1972 newspaper clipping 'Hogan Stands Alone as Open's Mr. Consistency' is presented to you in this lot. Framed nicely, it is ready to take it's place in any collection. There were no common items that Bantam Ben signed, and this seldom seen newspaper article may be one of the fewest seen. Most collectors would frequent Augusta National in order to receive champions signatures, that was the best case as they returned usually the week of the Masters. One champ that never returned to the Masters the week of the tournament during the 1990's was legendary Ben Hogan. He preferred to stay by his old club Shady Oaks in later life. This in part along with a short life span (deceased July, 1997)has made authenticated Hogan signed newspaper difficult to obtain.
