Vintage Army & Navy, CSL Smooth Face Iron - Shaft Stamp
An Army & Navy smooth faced iron is offered here. It comes in good condition, the shaft stamped "Army & Navy CSL". It measures 38 1/4" from end to heel. The Army & Navy Cooperative Stores started as a way for military personnel to order supplies, though it is still operational today and anyone is free to patronize. In the late 1800's, James Braid was a clubmaker for Army & Navy, their high quality clubs often made unique with danga wood or greenheart.

Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items is now in effect. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
