Jack Nicklaus Signed 1963 PGA Championship at DAC Country Club Program
Here we have a program from the 1963 PGA Championship at Dallas Athletic Club signed by the winner Jack Nicklaus. There are creases at the corners and spine and slight foxing throughout, noted for accuracy, please see photographs. Jack Nicklaus at the 1963 PGA Championship not only defeated the field of top professionals and the challenging Dallas Athletic Club's Blue Course, he also overcame temperatures over 100 degrees on Championship Sunday. It was so hot when Nicklaus received the Wanamaker champions trophy he had to use a towel to protect his hands from the scalding metal. The triumph was his first of five PGA Championship wins in a career that would total 18 Major wins.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
