Gene Sarazen & Byron Nelson Signed Golf World Magazines


Byron Nelson, who cut his own career short by retiring at age 34, he didn't fail to leave his mark on the game. In 1945, Nelson won 11 consecutive tournaments and 18 out of the 35 possible tournaments in a shortened season due to the war. His name is now attached to the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, the first PGA Tour event to be named after a professional golfer. Gene Sarazen, at the time one of the world's top players in the 1920's and 1930's. He is one of five golfers to win all the current Major championships in his career, the Career Grand Slam: U.S. Open in 1922, 1932, PGA Championship in 1922, 1923, 1933, British Open in 1932, and The Masters in 1935.

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, January 27th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
