Offered in this lot is a pair of contestant's badges one for use by Felix Serafin as a competitor and the other for use by Mrs Felix Serafin as a spectator in the March 1942 St. Petersburg Open professional gol tournament. Both of the 2 1/4 inch diameter badges are in similar condition with fronts in Ex+ condition and reverse sides containing the original pinbacks but with signs of rusting evident. Reverse clearly shows the stamping of the St. Louis Button Co. St. Louis Mo., an industry leader in the production of event related buttons in the 1930's and 40's. The champion of the 1942 St. Petersburg Open was Sam Snead who won the event for a record third time.

Session 1: Lots 1-500 will end on 4/11/13 and Session 2 Lots 500+ will end on 4/14/13 with extended bidding to start at 9:00 PM EST for both sessions. In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
