Colin Montgomerie has won a record eight European Tour Order of Merit titles, including a streak of seven consecutively from 1993 to 1999. Colin won 31 European Tour events, the most of any British player, placing him fourth on the all time list of golfers with most European Tour victories. Monty has finished runner-up on five occasions in major championship's.Excelled at Ryder Cup play earning repetation as "Most feared European". His career high world ranking was second.He will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2013 for both his reluctence to sign golf balls and the full signing of Montgomerie when he would sign often preferring to just stroke "Colin".
