Here we have a piece of history, wine Bottles from USA's dinner celebration at the presidents cup. All Three bottles are specially labeled with the The Presidents Cup is a series of men's golf matches between a team representing the United States and an International Team representing the rest of the world minus Europe. Europe competes against the U.S. in a similar but considerably older event, the Ryder Cup. The Presidents Cup is held biennially. Initially it was held in even numbered years, with the Ryder Cup being held in odd numbered years. However, the cancellation of the 2001 Ryder Cup due to the September 11 attacks pushed both tournaments back a year, and the Presidents Cup is now held in odd numbered years. It is hosted alternately in the U.S. and in countries represented by the International Team
This item comes from the collection of JD Daniel. JD was one of the founding members of The First Tee and part of Arnold Palmer’s “Tour Turf” and Palmer Design. The First Tee is an internationally respected youth organization that promotes life skills & leadership through the game of golf. The Arnold Palmer Design Company has long been regarded as one of the premier companies in the golf course architectural industry. We have been given the opportunity to auction JD Daniel's entire collection of golf cards, flags, memorabilia, and various other items in this auction.
Session 1: Lots 1-500 will end on 4/11/13 and Session 2 Lots 500+ will end on 4/14/13 with extended bidding to start at 9:00 PM EST for both sessions. In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
