Bobby Jones and his friend and frequent playing partner Charles Black Jr. each qualfied for the 1929 U.S. Open held at Pebble Beach. The two friends made the long jouney from Atlanta to Pebble together. This original travel itinerary has been in the Black family since 1929. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the pencil writing (Mr Black Jr.) in the upper right corner of the itinerary and has deemed that this is in the hand of Bobby Jones. This lot will come with a letter of authenticity from JSA making stating this finding. One of a kind Jones item, but does show significant wear and staining over entire body of itinerary.
Session 1: Lots 1-500 will end on 4/11/13 and Session 2 Lots 500+ will end on 4/14/13 with extended bidding to start at 9:00 PM EST for both sessions. In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
