Newsweek as a preview of the 1953 United States Open provided a 16 page fold out pamphlet (12 3/4"L X 18 W overall size) by (4 1/2"W X 6 1/2"L when folded)which gave detailed description of the Oakmont Country Club. With four color presentation this pamphlet broke down the course hole-by-hole that Ben Hogan would conquer in June of 1953 to claim the U.S. Open title, a big part of what would be the finest season of his Hall of Fame career. This item remains in strong NR-MT condition 60 years after its issue.
